Gavin Griffiths

Managing Director

Gavin started this journey on his own by forming Gavin Griffiths Recycling in 2009. He has more than 22 years’ experience in the waste management, recycling, transport and infrastructure industries, having worked on and managed many large scale construction, demolition, land clearance and land remediation projects throughout the UK.

Over the past 8 years Gavin has created a ‘Group’ of companies that all lend themselves to each other, offering clients a diverse range of services. Gavin holds a level 3 WAMITAB in waste and recycling, various plant operator certificates as well as a Class 1 LGV licence.

Gavin is Chairman of the All Wales Truck and Transport show. The show is run entirely by volunteers in their own time, and during its 11 years, it has managed to raise over £100,000 for charities across the country, including Wales Air Ambulance, Noah’s Ark, and Ty Hafan.

Jonathan Hearing

Commercial Manager

Jonathan joined the Griffiths Group in 2016 to establish Gavin Griffiths Contracting. Jonathan has more than 16 years’ experience in the contaminated land remediation industry having managed multi-million pound National and International projects.

Jonathan heads up Gavin Griffiths Contracting and specialises in the management and characterisation of surplus and/or contaminated soils. Jonathan holds a WAMITAB Certificate of Technical Competence (CoTC) for the Treatment and Management of Hazardous Waste (TMH4).

Andrew Wright

Business Development Manager

Andrew joined the Griffiths Group in 2010 to establish Griffiths Waste Management. Andrew has more than 12 years’ experience in the waste management and recycling industry having managed small and large scale projects, within the private and public sectors locally.

Andrew heads up Griffiths Waste Management and looks after all aspects of customer requirements ensuring they receive the best possible service. Andrew holds a level 3 WAMITAB in waste and recycling.

Dillwyn Rees

Transport Manager

Heading up the Griffiths Group Transport Division, Dillwyn has more than 30 years’ experience within the logistics sector, and holds an OCR Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers in Road Haulage. He joined the company in early 2012 and coordinates the day to day running of the groups vehicles, both U.K. and European activities.

Responsible for a specialised and modern fleet of vehicles, all aspects of transport from Tippers, Articulated Walking Floors, Low Loaders, Ro/Ro and Skip loaders.

Working closely with customers and their individual needs, ensuring that collections and deliveries are met on time, both safely and in compliance within legislation and load restrictions.
