Welcoming James, our new site manager at Cwmgwili

We are delighted to announce the appointment of James Lambe as our new site manager at our Cwmgwili site. With almost six years’ experience in remediation, James brings a wealth of experience and a passion for sustainability which is what we’re all about here at Gavin Griffiths Group.

 

James’ journey in waste management started at the Trecatti landfill site as Hazardous Waste Treatment Manager, overseeing the 30,000-tonne per annum facility. He was then promoted to Soil Treatment Facility Manager which involved auditing other soil treatment facilities across the country, providing SHEQ advice and promoting environmental compliance and a positive safety culture.

During his career, James has championed sustainable treatment and disposal techniques for various materials and contaminants whilst ensuring strict adherence to health and safety policies. He has completed his SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme), IOSH Managing Safely training and has achieved a Level 4 WAMITAB in the physical and chemical treatment of hazardous waste.

 

Commenting on his move to Gavin Griffiths Group, James said: “I’ve worked closely with Gavin and the team since the beginning of my career, and it felt right to take the next step of my career with the business.
