Chemical-Free Soil Remediation

Our new,  innovative, containerised steam-treatment system for contaminated soil,  eradicates Japanese Knotweed, pathogens and weed infestations without the use of chemicals.

The equipment can treat 2-25 tonnes of soil per hour. Based at our Cwmgwili site or available to mobilise to larger sites, our new soil  treatment eqipment is a game-changer in sustainable soil remediation.

Core Benefits

South Wales is a European hot spot for Japanese Knotweed. This invasive species can be problematic for landowners and developers alike. Our technology uses superheated steam to neutralise weeds, seeds and harmful pathogens in the soil, allowing soil to be safely reused. We can treat soil on our site in Cwmgwili or bring the unit directly to you.

Core Benefits

Proven Soil Treatment Technology

We are the first business in the UK to invest in this technology, but the system has been used successfully throughout Europe.

In one recent project, the system enabled the reuse of 8,000 tonnes of previously contaminated soil, eliminating the need for approximately 400 truckloads of soil transport and generating savings of around £150,000. Its adoption aligns with emerging EU directives that prioritise soil reuse and the control of invasive species.

Europe faces the challenge of managing over 500 million tonnes of soil waste annually, This technology offers a sustainable, scalable solution that directly addresses both environmental and economic concerns.

How it works

  1. Soil is fed into the heating chamber inside a converted shipping container

  2. Super‑heated steam circulates to eliminate pathogens, weed roots and viable seeds

  3. Clean soil is cooled, then safely reused on‑site or off‑site - no chemicals, no waste

The unit runs on diesel, biodiesel, electricity or gas for flexible deployment.

Who is it for?

This is an innovative solution for a wide range of projects, whether you are embarking on a major infrastructure project on potentially contaminated land or you want to remediate land for future use.
