Gavin Griffiths Group Invests in Five New Vehicles to Support Continued Growth
South Wales-based waste management and recycling company Gavin GriffithsGroup has strengthened its fleet with the addition of four new Scania trucks and a new RSP vacuum excavator, bringing its total fleet to more than 60 vehicles.
The latest investment marks another milestone in the Group’s continued growth, increasing its capacity to support customers across its waste management, recycling, haulage and specialist excavation services.
The four new Scania trucks, supplied by Keltruck Ltd, consist of skip loaders and hooklift vehicles, further strengthening the Group’s waste management and recycling operations. The additional vehicles will increase operational capacity, improve fleet availability and support the continued demand for skip hire and waste collection services across South Wales and beyond.
Alongside this investment, the addition of a new RSP vacuum excavator brings the Group’s specialist vacuum excavation fleet to three machines, further expanding its ability to undertake projects of varying sizes and requirements.
Vacuum excavation has become an increasingly important part of the business, with growing demand for safer, more precise and less disruptive excavation methods.
Using powerful suction to remove soil and other materials, vacuum excavators offer a non-mechanical excavation method, allowing underground utilities and services to be exposed while reducing the risk of damage associated with traditional mechanical excavation.
The technology is particularly valuable when working around buried infrastructure, including electrical cables, gas mains, water pipes and telecommunications networks, where precision and safety are essential.
Beyond utility exposure, vacuum excavation can also be used for a wide range of specialist applications, including material removal, culvert clearance and excavation in restricted or difficult-to-access areas.
The expansion of the specialist fleet reflects the Group’s commitment to investing in modern equipment, improving operational efficiency and providing customers with safe, reliable and effective solutions.
Gavin Griffiths, Managing Director of Gavin Griffiths Group, said:
“We’re pleased to welcome these five new vehicles to our fleet. Investing in the right equipment is essential to ensuring we can continue to deliver a reliable, high-quality service to our customers.
“Demand for vacuum excavation has been particularly strong, with more customers recognising the benefits of this method when working around underground services and sensitive infrastructure.
“Expanding our vacuum excavation fleet to three machines allows us to offer greater availability and flexibility, ensuring we can respond to customer requirements and support projects across a range of sectors.
“Our fleet plays a vital role in the success of the business, and this latest investment demonstrates our continued commitment to growth, innovation and providing the specialist equipment and expertise our customers need.”
The latest investment further strengthens Gavin Griffiths Group’s position as a provider of waste management, recycling, haulage and specialist site services, supporting customers across South Wales and the wider UK.
